In 1953, the Hedayat Specialized Women's and Maternity Hospital was established by the Social Security Organization on the endowed property of Mr. Mehdi Gholi Khan Hedayat in the Darrous area of Tehran. This medical center, which is among the properties of the Social Security Organization, continued its activities under the supervision of Shahid Beheshti University until 2012. After that, for renovation purposes, it only operated as an outpatient clinic. In the same year, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new hospital took place, and in March 2023, the new Hedayat Hospital, with 120 beds, was inaugurated as a general hospital.
